Encore Boston Harbor reports $184 million in Q3 gaming revenue; highlights local hiring and community volunteering

"During Q3, our gross gaming revenue for table games was about $73 million, about $111 million for slots, for a total GGR of about $184 million," Juliana said while presenting the property’s quarterly report to commissioners.
Juliana also provided workforce and spending data: Encore reported 3,324 employees at the end of Q3, with 75% of those who reported identifying as a minority, 45% identifying as women, and 89% reported as local residents. The property said discretionary operating spend for the quarter was roughly $19 million, with 13% to MBEs and 18% to WBEs, and it detailed local vendor spending in the millions.
On safety and compliance, Juliana said staff intercepted five minors on the gaming floor during the quarter and described two incidents in which minors had been provided alcohol off the gaming floor; staff intervened and removed the minors and accompanying adults. Commissioners asked for follow-up on one incident in which a minor reportedly spent about 50 minutes on the casino floor; Juliana said she would follow up with the property security director for more specifics.
Encore also reported community engagement: patrons donated about $65,000 in rounded donations to local charities and employees contributed nearly 6,000 volunteer hours, including participation in meal-packing events and an invasive-plant removal project in the Mystic River.
