Students and staff honored: Spelling Bee winners and newly certified teachers recognized
Summary
The board recognized K–8 winners of the district spelling bee and acknowledged newly certified Level 1 teachers and CDL-certified bus drivers at the Feb. 13 meeting.
During the Feb. 13 meeting the board recognized students who placed first through third in the district spelling bee across grades K–8. Dr. Williams read the list of winners and congratulated participants.
The board also recognized newly certified Level 1 teachers (Alexis Banks, Dalaceia Davis, Shania Williams, Jada Butler, Laqualla Hart, Tara Perilloux and Caitlyn Petrus) and bus drivers who obtained CDL certifications (Ambria Davis, Dominique Jacob, Nolandra Anderson, Brandy Davis and Danielle Alvis). The recognitions were presented as part of the educational presentations and recognitions section of the agenda.
