The Otis Planning Board voted April 13 to ask the selectboard to refer a proposed seasonal community designation back to the planning board for further work and clearer materials for voters.
Mark Anthony, chair, said the selectboard had held a preliminary discussion but had not yet reviewed background materials. He proposed the planning board compile a clearer packet with answers so town voters can understand the proposal. Hal Kobrin said he supported the concept in principle because it could bring money and tools to the town, but acknowledged many questions remain.
Hal Kobrin moved that the planning board request the selectboard to return the matter to the planning board for additional discussion and information gathering; Ross Knowles seconded and the motion passed with all members voting in favor. The minutes note that there may not be time to place the proposal on this year’s annual meeting warrant.
