The Town of Otis has signed a contract with the Berkshire Regional Planning Commission (BRPC) for work on an updated master plan, but planning staff and board members said they were awaiting BRPC’s signature before the consultant’s work can proceed.
Mark Anthony, chair, told the planning board April 13 that the town had executed the contract and that the selectboard would discuss creating a master plan steering committee at its next meeting. Hal Kobrin said BRPC should conduct the bulk of the technical work.
Board members indicated the master plan update will inform grant-seeking and future infrastructure priorities, and they discussed coordinating with the selectboard on committee membership and next steps. No schedule or budget details were recorded in the minutes.
