Stacey Schultze, chair of the Town of Otis Revitalization Committee, called the committee to order at 9:07 a.m. Jan. 21 at Otis Town Hall and led a consultant-led site visit of downtown properties as part of the MA Economic Development Real Estate Technical Assistance Grant.
The visit brought together committee members — Tim Wighton, Celeste Watman, Cynthia Fletcher, Hal Kobrin and Susan Ebitz — with Ben Murphy of MA Economic Development and consultants Eric Halvorsen and Aishwarya Kulkarni of RKG Associates to examine underutilized parcels and discuss potential economic development opportunities.
Committee members and consultants completed introductions and then walked several downtown blocks to review site-specific conditions and gather information the consultants said they would use to shape recommendations. After returning to the meeting room, the group narrowed focus areas for consultant analysis and confirmed a timeline: the MassDevelopment Technical Assistance Team is expected to deliver final recommendations by June.
The meeting, which had been scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m., was recorded as called to order at 9:07 a.m. and adjourned at 11:34 a.m. The minutes were submitted by Susan Ebitz, TOR Secretary. No formal votes or motions were recorded in the minutes.
Next steps identified in the minutes are consultant analysis and the delivery of recommendations to the committee and MassDevelopment by June.
