During public comment at the March 11 meeting, resident Jillian Gentle described a sewage backup in her home that occurred in February and asked what preventive measures the Village uses, how to obtain service records, and what maintenance is performed.
Mayor Anne Haynam later recommended Diane Hladky for appointment to the Recreation and Parks Board and said Ms. Bennett will be the council’s representative to the board. Council voted to accept Ms. Hladky as a new board member; the motion passed 5-0.
The resident’s request for service records and information about maintenance was entered into the public record; the minutes do not record a staff response or follow-up timeline. The council’s acceptance of a board nominee and the public comment were recorded in the signed minutes.
