The Nashoba Regional School Committee voted April 29 to approve Masters Academy International as a private school authorized to operate within the Nashoba Regional School District’s geographic boundaries.
Committee members confirmed that the committee’s authority is limited to approving educational program alignment, not to overseeing private operators’ corporate decisions. "That is not something that would be included in the vote," Gillian said when a member raised concerns about the parent company’s history; the committee chair agreed the Select Board or other municipal entities could examine operational stability.
The motion passed with one abstention. The district clerk will process the required documents and include the approval paperwork as indicated in subsequent administrative steps.
