Kevin Daly, the scheduled presenter, said he is preparing a large slide deck and is concerned about presenter view without a second monitor: "I have currently about 70 slides," he told the meeting, noting he uses presenter view at home and would prefer a setup that allows him to see notes while the audience sees only the projected slide.
Committee members recommended an early setup and test, noting Wednesday as a possible window for testing projector connections, HDMI cables or Bluetooth display options. Ray Giovani offered to help with the technical setup, saying he could assist with connecting presenter equipment. The group also discussed lower-tech fallbacks: recording the session on a phone and posting the recording later and providing printed notes for volunteers.
Organizers agreed to confirm who will arrive early to set up, test presenter view and ensure the projector recognizes the presenter's laptop as a second display. If needed, the presenter will share the slide file with a backup laptop for projection.
The lecture series will continue with subsequent talks; committee staff will circulate logistical details for volunteers and technical support.
