The Peosta City Council voted April 14, 2026 to approve pay estimate number 4 submitted by Ronan Hall for ongoing playground work and to approve a proposal from Commercial Flooring Company to refloor the community batting cage. Both measures passed on roll-call votes of councilmembers present.
Parks staff (Stacy) said the Commercial Flooring Company bid was the lowest of two received and that the council had discussed the purchase at the prior work session. The council approved the resolution authorizing the flooring work (proposal dated Feb. 3, 2026) and approved the contractor pay estimate for the playground project submitted as pay estimate #4.
Stacy also told the council that Maquoketa Valley donated $1,000 toward the pavilion and CoBank matched that donation with another $1,000, for a combined $2,000 toward the pavilion project. Staff said funds will be received via check and direct deposit and will be applied to pavilion expenses.
Councilmembers voted to carry both motions by voice/roll call. Staff will manage contracting details and invoice/payment processing for the projects.
