The Peosta City Council adopted the fiscal year 2027 budget on April 14, 2026, after a public hearing that produced no in-person or online comments. The resolution to adopt the FY27 budget passed on a unanimous roll-call vote of councilmembers Ben, Brian, John and Jim.
The hearing opened with the council noting that the budget document was posted for public review; no members of the public spoke during the hearing. Following the hearing, council moved to adopt the budget by resolution. Councilmembers voted in favor on the motion and the mayor pro tem declared the motion carried.
Council and staff thanked city department personnel for preparing the budget during the work-session process. The council did not discuss line-item changes on the record at the meeting; the posted budget document contains the detailed allocations and will guide department spending for FY27.
The resolution adopting the FY27 budget is in effect following the council vote. Staff will carry out implementation steps and present any required budget monitoring reports at future meetings.
