The commission discussed ongoing enforcement at 75 Rattling Valley Road, where a wetlands violation has been outstanding for nearly a year.
WEO Bruce Driska reported that his attempts to contact the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection and Robert Doane were unsuccessful. Commission Attorney Karen Perry said she also did not receive a response from Mr. Doane and will review the enforcement order originally issued by the WEO to determine next steps toward remediation.
Commission members noted interest in conducting a site walk. The meeting minutes record that next month will mark one year since the violation began; no formal enforcement vote was recorded at the Feb. 12 meeting.
Next steps: Attorney Perry to review the original order and advise on legal or remedial steps; commissioners may schedule a site walk.
