The group identified outstanding needs including extra clips, confirmation of flags in the Heights and Corbin areas, and brackets for new lamp posts on Corbin Drive; commissioners said it would not be a problem if not all lamp posts receive baskets this year.
Elizabeth Hall agreed to remove wreaths from planters when they appear worn. The commission reported four orders to date for the "That’s My Brick" fundraising program and plans outreach via the Chamber of Commerce, flyers, local organizations and scout groups, including a Valentine-themed promotion called "Buy Your Sweetheart a Brick." Commissioners also discussed scout projects such as bat houses and bug-house installations at Town Hall, Tilley and other gardens and noted an Eagle project in planning.
Social media coordination was assigned to member Danielle Seitz, who will receive photos for the commission Instagram account; commissioners may tag her on posts published from their personal accounts.
A motion to adjourn, moved by Chair Sarah Schwarz and seconded by Amanda Segura, was followed by adjournment at 9:32 a.m. The commission set its next meeting for Feb. 11, 2026.
