Springport council workshop schedules motions on televising contract and wage adjustments; discusses blight and rental inspections

Springport — The Springport Village Council met in workshop session on Nov. 11, 2025. President Pro Tem J. Bartley called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.; Clerk/Treasurer Theresa Woolworth recorded that councilmembers J. Bartley, Cavazos, A. Ward and C. Ward were present and that Barnette, K. Bartley and Severns were absent.
Manager Saylors delivered the village manager’s report for November 2025, and Collin Hawes submitted the Department of Public Works report. The council reviewed October 2025 account balances and October disbursements and discussed delinquent utility accounts and potential shut-offs; the minutes record the review but do not list specific balances, disbursement line items or account counts.
Under unfinished business the council held discussions about village properties and rental inspections; the minutes note discussion but do not record any motions or policy changes on those items. In new business councilmembers discussed blight and made recommendations; the minutes do not specify the recommendations’ content.
The council scheduled two motions to be heard at the upcoming Thursday meeting: one concerning M&K Jetting & Televising, Inc., and one regarding wage adjustments. The workshop minutes record only that a motion is planned for Thursday and do not show any vote or final action on those items at this workshop.
