At its meeting the Regional School District 08 board approved RAM High School’s 2025 graduation date of June 13 and accepted a retirement notice from high‑school math teacher Patty Dorman, effective June 30, 2025.
Administration presented a package of policy housekeeping items slated for first read: a cleaned code‑of‑conduct policy for board members (a redline will follow), and recommendations to delete several redundant or outdated policies related to use of school equipment, gifts to school personnel, duplicate eligibility rules for co‑curricular activities, an unnecessary student‑organization paragraph and an outdated board‑clerk bylaw. Administrators said deletions remove redundancy because current district policies or new ethics language already cover those topics; the items will return for second read at the March meeting.
The board also received a facilities update on a planned material‑containment/ADA project. Administration said bid documents have been posted, but the containment site requires approval from Hebron Planning & Zoning and that process remains unresolved after more than two years; material piles behind bleachers remain in place and staff flagged safety and drainage concerns. The administration said it continues to follow up with planning & zoning and will report progress to the board.
The meeting closed with committee updates and reminders about upcoming events, including the district’s drama production (Matilda) on March 13–15 and upcoming assessment windows.
