Bolton Zoning Board elects Mark Altermatt chair, sets 2018 meeting schedule and assigns budget work

The Bolton Zoning Board of Appeals met Dec. 12, 2017, at Bolton Town Hall and conducted routine board business, including officer elections, approval of minutes and action on the board’s 2018 schedule and budget.
Clerk Lori Bushnell recorded that Chairman Mark Altermatt, John Toomey, Robert Peterson, Jonathan Treat, Joseph Hriczo, Letrisa Miller, Anne Decker and Zoning Officer Jim Rupert were in attendance and that the meeting was called to order at 7:01 P.M. There were no public comments.
Robert Peterson moved to nominate Mark Altermatt as chairman; Jonathan Treat seconded the motion, which the minutes record as passing unanimously. John Toomey later moved, with Robert Peterson seconding, to close nominations; that motion also passed unanimously.
The board approved the minutes of July 18, 2017. Robert Peterson moved to accept the minutes “as written,” with John Toomey seconding; the motion carried unanimously.
On scheduling, John Toomey moved, seconded by Robert Peterson, to set the board’s 2018 regular meetings for the second Tuesday of every month at 7:00 P.M.; the motion passed unanimously.
The board also voted to add budget items to the agenda after Jonathan Treat moved and John Toomey seconded the addition; the motion passed unanimously. In a related motion, Robert Peterson moved, seconded by Jonathan Treat, that Chairman Mark Altermatt and Zoning Officer Jim Rupert complete the budget; the minutes record the total budget will be around $1,500. That motion passed unanimously.
Robert Peterson moved, with John Toomey seconding, to adjourn at 7:07 P.M.; the motion passed unanimously.
The clerk closed the record with the signature line "Respectfully submitted, Lori Bushnell."
