Bolton ZBA accepts appeal for 25 French Rd., confirms chairman and sets 2019 meeting dates

Robert Peterson moved to nominate Mark Altermatt as chairman; John Toomey seconded the nomination and the motion passed unanimously, confirming Altermatt as chairman for the board. Peterson later moved to accept the minutes of the Dec. 12, 2017 meeting as written; Toomey seconded and the board approved the minutes unanimously.
The board voted to adopt its 2019 meeting schedule, proposing to hold regular meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at Bolton Town Hall. The board initially planned an exception for the Jan. meeting to meet a 30-day notice requirement and listed Jan. 15, 2019 as the scheduled hearing date; Zoning Officer Jim Rupert then clarified that Town Hall would be available on Jan. 15 and Chairman Altermatt amended the schedule on the record so that all 2019 meetings would be held at Bolton Town Hall, 222 Bolton Center Rd.
Board members indicated they anticipated no changes to the current budget for 2019–20; no formal budget alteration was recorded. The meeting recorded no public comments or correspondence. Robert Peterson moved to adjourn at 7:10 p.m.; John Toomey seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The minutes were submitted by Josh Gaston.
The board listed no additional correspondence or actions during the meeting. The acceptance of the appeal sets the next substantive item for Jan. 15, 2019, when the board will consider the Andersons' challenge to the Zoning Enforcement Officer's decision.
