During roll call the seven members present—Mr. Jackson, Mrs. Snider, Mrs. Gendron, Mrs. Paradis, Mr. Dro, Mrs. Burwell and Mrs. Geller—all recorded "yes." The motion was made, seconded and approved without discussion.
The board briefly adjourned the formal meeting at 6:56 p.m. for a reception honoring graduating students, tenure recipients and retirees. The public portion of the meeting resumed at 7:12 p.m., when the board then voted to enter executive session to discuss "matters leading to the appointment, employment, promotion, demotion, discipline, suspension, dismissal, or removal of a particular person or corporation and to discuss the superintendent's evaluation." The board again voted unanimously to convene the executive session.
No formal actions or personnel decisions were announced in the public record at the close of the meeting; the board's votes in open session were limited to adopting the consent agenda and approving the procedural motions to adjourn and to meet in executive session.
