Council considers joining county in nuisance litigation over offsite racetrack events

Council members indicated interest and asked the county attorney to draft the complaint materials and return with a proposed resolution for formal authorization.
Council also discussed enforcement limits: local agencies have finite staffing on event nights and multi'jurisdictional pursuits complicate response. Members said they would pursue coordination with neighboring jurisdictions and consider legal remedies that place responsibility on event operators.
