At the Dec. 17 Select Board meeting the following formal actions were taken (text and outcomes recorded from the meeting):
- Clerk appointment: Motion to appoint Sarah Campbell as clerk (record includes at least one board member recorded as voting no); the clerk motion was discussed in the reorganization item.
- Liaison and candidate screening: Motion to authorize a board member to act as liaison to the neighboring town (to explore a shared treasurer) and to pre-screen treasurer resumes and phone-screen applicants; motion carried and the board authorized drafting procurement documents for treasury services.
- Procurement drafting: Motion to draft and send procurement/RFP documents for treasury/financial services to town counsel; motion carried.
- CDBG extension (FY22–23): Motion to sign extension form for the Community Development Block Grant (to repurpose underspent funds); motion seconded and approved.
- Department of Environmental Protection grant funding: Motion to sign DEP grant funding documents related to a road project that came in under budget; motion seconded and approved.
- Common victualler licenses and town-hall use: Motions to approve common victualler licenses (Whites Landing, Dollar General) and to approve town-hall use (TipTop co-op meeting) were seconded and approved.
- Approval of minutes: Motion to accept minutes for prior meetings was moved and seconded; one member abstained on at least one set of minutes.
- Adjourn: Motion to adjourn carried.
Notes on tallies: the transcript records boardwide “all in favor” confirmations in several votes but does not consistently enumerate individual yes/no tallies for every motion. Where specific opposing or abstaining votes were audible (for example, an explicit “I vote no” on an early reorganization vote, and at least one noted abstention on minutes), those are reflected in the minutes above. For items where the transcript records unanimous assent by voice but not a roll-call tally, outcome is recorded as approved.
