The Carroll City Council opened a public hearing on April 24 for the city’s proposed fiscal-year budget and, with no public comments received, adopted the annual budget for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027.
Laura (city staff) said the notice published in the Carroll Times Herald had reflected the maximum budget and highest levy the council could set; council members said the budget had been prepared conservatively and thanked department heads for their work.
Council moved and approved the resolution adopting the budget by roll call.
Next steps: the adopted budget will be submitted to the state as required.
