- Strategic plan direction: After a lengthy presentation and discussion, the board moved to adopt the superintendent’s recommended strategic direction (career pathways, targeted facility refreshes and a January timeline for course approvals); the motion carried unanimously.
- Non-curricular live-animal policy (second reading): The board adopted the revised policy after committee edits and public comment; the policy clarifies approval steps, adds school‑health review steps and states the district will not bear care costs for approved animals. The vote was unanimous.
These votes set the district on a path to implement the strategic plan's near-term elements and to operationalize the adopted policy; administration will return with course proposals, budgets and implementation steps in January.
