Deep River approves library trustees, names Eric Waltke town tree warden and fills transfer-station vacancy

The motion to appoint the two trustees was made by Selectman Duane Gates, seconded by Selectman Cynthia Torres, and passed 3–0.
Tree warden: Because former Tree Warden Alan Miejzeski moved out of Deep River, the board accepted Public Works Director Eric Waltke’s volunteer willingness to serve and appointed him as Town Tree Warden. Waltke has been accepted into the annual Tree Warden training program. The motion to appoint Waltke was made by Selectman Cynthia Torres, seconded by Selectman Duane Gates, and passed 3–0.
Transfer Station Committee: Following a recent resignation, the board appointed Brittany Gagnon to the Transfer Station Committee for a term expiring Dec. 1, 2027. The motion was made by Selectman Duane Gates, seconded by Selectman Cynthia Torres, and passed 3–0.
Tax refunds and minutes: The board approved two tax refunds totaling $556.87 (motion by Selectman Cynthia Torres, seconded by Selectman Duane Gates), and earlier approved minutes from a joint meeting with Chester (motion by Selectman Duane Gates, seconded by Selectman Cynthia Torres); both motions passed unanimously.
All motions recorded at the meeting passed 3–0.
The board took no additional personnel action beyond these appointments.
