The Village of Springport council voted on Nov. 13 to authorize a $15,536.10 payment to M&K Jetting & Televising, Inc. for jetting and televising of the village’s sanitary sewer system and separately approved employee wage adjustments recommended by the village manager.
The payment motion was made by Councilmember K. Bartley and seconded by Councilmember C. Ward. Clerk/Treasurer Theresa Woolworth recorded a roll-call vote with ayes from K. Bartley, C. Ward, President Barnette, J. Bartley, Cavazos and A. Ward; Councilmember Severns was recorded absent. The motion carried.
A separate motion to approve employee wage adjustments was made by J. Bartley and seconded by K. Bartley. The same roll-call result was recorded: six ayes, Severns absent. The wage adjustments were approved "as recommended by the manager," the transcript records; the manager’s name and the specific adjustment amounts were not specified in the meeting record.
The authorized payment covers work described in the motion as the "jetting and televising of sanitary sewer." The council did not record further discussion in the transcript about the contract’s origin, budget line, or anticipated follow-up work.
The meeting adjourned at 7:56 p.m. The council announced upcoming meetings: a workshop on Dec. 9, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. and a regular council meeting on Dec. 11, 2025, at 7:00 p.m.
