St. John the Baptist Parish School Board extends superintendentcontract through 2028

Board Member Shawn Wallace moved to extend the contract and Sherry DeFrancesch seconded the motion; the board approved it in a recorded vote with Albert "Ali" Burl III voting no and the remaining members voting yes.
The vote followed the superintendent ccount of district updates earlier in the meeting. No contract terms or salary changes were specified in the minutes.
Board President Debra Schum presided over the meeting and Dr. Perry delivered the February district report before the vote. The board took no additional public action on contract terms during the meeting.
The extension takes effect immediately as recorded in the minutes; the next procedural step for any additional personnel actions would appear on a future agenda if required.
