Jackson County Commission approves routine business, OKs courthouse repair change order

Commissioner Chris Gulley moved and Paul Kennamer seconded adoption of the Dec. 22, 2025 meeting minutes; that motion also passed unanimously.
Commissioner AJ Buckner moved and Commissioner Chris Gulley seconded approval of the county’s 2026 holiday schedule; all members voted affirmatively. The commission also approved change order #07 with P & C Construction, Inc. for courthouse structural repair after a motion by Commissioner Kevin McBride and a second by Commissioner Chris Gulley; the motion carried unanimously. Later in the meeting Commissioner Kevin McBride moved to enter executive session (seconded by AJ Buckner); the body voted to enter and later voted to exit executive session on a motion by McBride, seconded by Paul Kennamer.
