Polk City — The Polk City Council voted May 11 to enter into a construction management-agent (CMA) contract with DCI Group for Phase 1 of the Polk City Regional Park following a recommendation from a mayor-appointed review committee.

Chad Helapnick, president of DCI Group, introduced himself and outlined the firm’s approach: sequence site work in quadrants to allow seeding and staged field preparation, prepare bid packages in the coming weeks and target a mid-June bid issuance with an early July start. Helapnick said the team is prepared to assemble subcontractors and the necessary on-site oversight.
