Valentine Reid moved to adjourn the public meeting and enter executive session and Jared Bellows seconded; the motion passed unanimously and the board did not return to open session that night. The board also listed approval of executive session minutes from June 10, 2024 as an agenda item for the closed session.
Because executive sessions are confidential by law, the board provided no further public detail about the Charlemont Inn matter or the nature of the possible criminal investigation during the July 15 meeting. The board’s next regular meeting is scheduled for July 29, 2024.
