Key provisions include a 2.5% cost‑of‑living adjustment for each of the next three years, a state of emergency differential, a training incentive, a pilot program for Emergency Medical Dispatch certification, an increased uniform allowance, clarification of base‑pay calculations, and the removal of one union position to create a Director of Communications (Kirk Bishop). The motion to approve and authorize contract finalization carried on a 4‑0 roll call vote.
The board’s vote empowers the Town Administrator and Town Counsel to execute the written contract and implement the agreement’s provisions; the MOA will affect dispatchers’ pay scales and the town’s human‑resources structure once finalized.
