The Town of Mansfield Board of Assessment Appeals met on March 5, 2026, in the Town Hall Council Chambers and resolved multiple property-assessment appeals. Chairwoman Barbara Vaughan presided; Members Doryann Plante and Shannon Sion were present. The meeting began at 6:00 p.m. and adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
The board first approved minutes from the Sept. 13, 2025 meeting; Member Doryann Plante moved to accept the minutes and Member Shannon Sion seconded. The minutes text includes a typographical reference to "9/13/2026," which the record shows as a clerical error; the board voted to approve the Sept. 13, 2025 minutes.
On appeals, the board recorded the following actions. For Christopher Prendergast (108–110 Moulton Rd), Member Doryann Plante moved and Member Shannon Sion seconded a motion to make no change to the real-property assessment; the minutes state the motion carried "all in favor." For Douglas Degges (19 Atwoodville Rd), Chairwoman Barbara Vaughan moved and Member Shannon Sion seconded a motion to change the appraised value to $487,900; the motion carried. The appeal for David Sorvillo (457–459 Storrs Rd) was discussed and the motion was tabled; the minutes do not record a vote tally or the mover/second for that tabling action.
The board also approved a change for the property listed as "Shuk Chan or Siu Cheung" at 28 Lodi Dr: Member Doryann Plante moved and Chairwoman Barbara Vaughan seconded a motion to change the appraised value to $384,900; the motion carried. For Kristen Wisnewski (305 Gurleyville Rd), Chairwoman Vaughan moved and Member Plante seconded a motion to change the personal-property assessment to $0; the motion carried. The supplemental motor vehicle assessment appeal for Craig Wutsch (312 Hanks Hill Rd) was considered; Chairwoman Vaughan moved, Member Shannon Sion seconded, and the minutes record the motion carried with no change to the assessment. The appeal for John or Melissa Tindall (Wormwood Hill Rd) was discussed and tabled; the minutes do not list mover/second or a vote for that tabling.
Votes at a glance: the minutes record "all in favor; motion carried" for motions where a tally is given. When a specific tally or mover/second is absent in the minutes (for the Sorvillo and Tindall appeals), the board recorded the actions as tabled.
No members of the public were present for public comment. The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn made by Chairwoman Vaughan and seconded by Member Plante; the minutes record adjournment at 8:45 p.m.
The minutes contain limited procedural detail for the two appeals that were tabled (no mover/second or vote tally recorded). The board did not list further scheduling for those tabled appeals in the minutes.
