Staff said the work will include structural sampling beyond historical reports and a phased approach tied to building separation and possible vertical expansion; work will inform the city's due diligence through the Sept. 30 period.
- Resolution 26-307: Approved a professional services agreement with 'Ramble America's Engineering Solutions Inc.' for environmental due diligence, hazardous materials estimation and redevelopment cost estimating in the amount of $81,150. Staff described this as Phase 2 environmental testing to support acquisition decisions and cost estimation.
Each of these items was presented by staff, discussed briefly where noted, and approved by roll call. Council indicated these due-diligence contracts will help ensure the city understands structural, environmental and cost implications before finalizing property acquisitions.
