Corydon council approves series of resolutions, schedules public hearing and funds applications

At its Sept. 24 meeting the council approved six resolutions — setting a public hearing on conveyance of real estate, designating employee assignments and depositories, approving a clerk wage increase, scheduling a loan-authorization meeting, declaring intent to issue debt, and approving a firefighting equipment loan application — all by unanimous vote.
The Corydon City Council on Sept. 24 approved a package of routine resolutions and administrative items, recording unanimous votes on each.
The council set a public hearing on conveyance of real estate to Wayne County (Resolution 2026-007) for Oct. 22, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. at Corydon City Hall. Councilors also approved Resolution 2026-008 designating city employee assignments, depositories, and council assignments.
The council approved Resolution 2026-009, granting a wage increase to Administrative City Clerk Stacy Gibbs upon certification completion. Councilors further approved Resolution 2026-010, fixing Oct. 8, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. for a meeting on a proposition to authorize a loan agreement and issue notes; and Resolution 2026-011, declaring official intent under Treasury Regulation 1.150-2 to issue debt to reimburse the city for certain original expenditures. Finally, the council approved Resolution 2026-012 to complete and submit a Fire Fighting Equipment Revolving Loan Fund loan application.
All motions reported in the minutes carried with the recorded vote of Ayes: Christian, Clark, Hampton, Holmes, and Wolfe; Nays: none. Where indicated, motions were moved and seconded by council members as recorded in the minutes.
