Dartmouth School Committee given preview of district strategic plan, plans community outreach

Superintendent Dr. June Saba-Maguire presented highlights of the Dartmouth Public Schools strategic plan on Aug. 26 and said a fuller version will be provided to the committee before a public presentation.
Dr. Saba-Maguire described a district "dashboard" showing strategic focus areas and said the plan was shared with staff at the day's Convocation. She told the committee community forums will be held to inform families and that staff will outline outreach plans when the full plan is presented.
Chairperson Chris Oliver requested that invitations to the plan presentation be sent to the Select Board and the town Finance Committee so municipal partners are informed and can participate in discussions linking budget and strategy.
What’s next: the superintendent said a more detailed plan will be delivered to the committee prior to the next meeting; the committee will consider outreach timing and formal presentation plans.
