At a public hearing the selectmen reviewed a Special Amusement application for the Harborview Restaurant and the new owner, Gail Stinson, described her intended use of the license and her request to lease front-space in front of the restaurant deck.
Town Manager Billings said the application was complete, was published in the local paper of record, and that no public comments had been received. Stinson told the board she planned to keep service on the deck when possible but wanted the option to lease the front space if rising COVID-19 numbers forced changes.
The selectmen expressed support for a seasonal arrangement. A motion to approve the requested lease space was moved by Selectman John Steed and seconded by Selectman John Robbins; the motion carried 4-0. The board did not record any public opposition during the advertised hearing.
The manager said the license application and lease terms will be finalized by staff and the town will complete any necessary paperwork to implement the seasonal lease.
