Adam Schwarz, who identified himself as the new executive director of the Carroll County Growth Partnership and Chamber of Commerce, introduced himself to the Carroll City Council and offered to coordinate on economic development efforts across the county.
"I'm 100% available for anything you guys need," Schwarz told council, saying he was beginning his fourth week in the role and planned to provide quarterly updates and to assemble an economic development playbook to guide outreach, grant opportunities, and financing options for cities and the county.
Council welcomed Schwarz and asked that he appear quarterly to brief the council on projects and financing prospects. Schwarz said he would reach out to councilmembers individually about potential projects and that he would share information on available programs, grants and financing options to help attract leads to Carroll City.
The introduction was made during the public comment portion of the meeting; no action was required.
