Richmond Select Board approves moving $101,000 paving expense into next fiscal year after contractor delay

During the discussion town staff explained the contractor had multiple projects and weather and scheduling conflicts prevented completion before the end of the fiscal year.
Town staff said the money being moved had already been approved in budget allocations and that the adjustment simply aligns spending with the new work timing. Pete (town staff) said the contractor "couldn't meet the deadline of June 30th" and the work has been rescheduled to mid‑July.
The board’s roll call recorded the motion as carried with members identifying themselves in the affirmative: Greg (yes), David (yes), Bard (yes) and Rick (yes). No further debate occurred and the board then moved to adjournment.
