Grant County commissioners approve appointments, infrastructure projects and several resolutions

The Grant County Board of Commissioners approved several routine and substantive items during its Feb. 14 meeting.

Appointments and votes: The board nominated and approved Tanya Elliot to the Hidalgo Regional Medical Center board of trustees after commissioners praised all applicants and noted that the position is a volunteer time commitment. The motion passed by voice vote.

Infrastructure and funding: Commissioners approved an airport parking lot drainage improvement project and a commitment of local funds for senior services; both motions were seconded and passed.
