Chester Board of Selectmen meet in executive session to review AFSCME contract; no action taken

The Town of Chester Board of Selectmen entered an executive session at 9:32 a.m. Monday to review the town's collective-bargaining agreement with Local 1303-286 of Council 4, American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME).
First Selectwoman Cynthia Lignar called the special meeting to order at 9:32 a.m., noting it was held virtually via Microsoft Teams because of a snowstorm. After roll call confirmed the presence of Selectwoman Pat Bandzes and Selectman Paul Radicchi, Lignar asked for a motion to enter executive session. Bandzes moved to enter executive session and Radicchi seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
In executive session the board reviewed and discussed the contract covering July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2026 between the Town of Chester and Local 1303-286. The minutes state that the executive session concluded at 10:33 a.m. and that no formal action was taken while the board was in executive session.
After reconvening the regular meeting, Lignar asked for a motion to adjourn. Radicchi moved to adjourn and Bandzes seconded; the motion passed unanimously and the meeting was adjourned at 10:33 a.m. The minutes are marked "subject to approval at the next BOS meeting" and were signed in the record by Cynthia Lignar.
