Planning Commission unanimously refers draft Home Occupation ordinance to Village Council

The Stockbridge Planning Commission on July 11 held a public hearing on a draft Home Occupation ordinance (proposed Section 6-145) and unanimously voted to refer the draft to the Village Council for its August meeting.
Chair Daryl Anderson opened the public hearing and invited comment; after public comment was closed, the commission proceeded to a roll-call vote. Commissioners Jennifer Conant, James Johnson, Kim Morehouse, Laura Loomis and Chair Daryl Anderson all voted to recommend the draft Home Occupation ordinance to the Village Council.
A resolution and a copy of the draft ordinance will be forwarded to the Village Clerk for inclusion in the Village Council packet for the Aug. 5, 2024 meeting.
Next steps: the Village Council will consider the ordinance and the commission’s recommendation at its Aug. 5 meeting.
