Village Administrator Steven Schuller spoke on Porter’s behalf, explaining the zoning change was required for Porter to file an Application for Placement of Farmland in an Agricultural District. Councilor David Smith moved to approve the placement; Councilor Ed Frato-Sweeney seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
The approval was recorded during the administrator’s report; the minutes do not include additional conditions or a timetable for Porter’s application. The council’s action amends local zoning status only and does not itself grant agricultural-district designation — that designation is obtained through the separate placement application process.
Council did not record further public debate or a roll-call of individual votes beyond the 5-0 tally. Staff will follow up on any administrative steps needed to process Porter’s application.
