Council corrects cannabis-hours typo and adopts state retail registration checklist
Summary
Council corrected a cannabis ordinance hours error (now 8 a.m.–2 p.m.) and approved using the Minnesota Office of Cannabis Management Retail Registration Form and Checklist for city-level processing of state-licensed cannabis businesses.
At the Jan. 28 meeting Councilor Liza Root reported the Cannabis Committee had identified an error in the local Cannabis Ordinance related to hours of operation and moved to correct the hours to 8:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.; the Council approved the correction.
Council also reviewed and accepted the Retail Registration Form and Checklist provided by the Minnesota Office of Cannabis Management. The form will be used by city staff to process businesses that have obtained a cannabis license from the state.
A motion to accept the registration form was moved by Councilor Ron Bushbaum and seconded by Councilor Jody Bixby; the minutes record the motion as carried.
