The Cook City Council approved the 2026 Timber Days festival on Jan. 28, including event dates (June 12–14), a parade on Sunday, June 14, and fireworks on Saturday, June 13.
Carolle Wood requested the permits and logistics. The Council approved closure of River Street in the downtown area for the event and granted a gambling/raffle permit for fundraising during Timber Days. Council also approved a motion for the City of Cook to pay for porta-potties and handwashing stations during the event.
Motions were moved and seconded by councilors and recorded as carried in the meeting minutes; additional event details and schedule will be handled by event organizers and city staff.
