Pittsburg County commissioners on June 22 awarded six‑month bids for materials and services needed by county road and bridge operations for July 1–Dec. 31, 2026.
County staff presented award recommendations by product category and district. The commissioners approved the awards as read by Sandra Crenshaw, with vendor selections such as Stigler Stone and Dolese for crushed stone, Muskogee Sand for Class A sand, Wright Asphalt and Ergon Asphalt for road oils, Dub Ross and Warren Cat for grader blades, and multiple hauling and tire vendors including Parrott Trucking and T&W Tire. The awards include primary vendors by location with contingency call options if supply or quality issues occur.
The motion to award the six‑month bids was made and seconded; the vote was 3‑0 in favor. County staff indicated the awards include standard provisions allowing substitution to a second‑call vendor if primary vendor supply is unavailable or material quality is unacceptable.
The awards will guide county purchasing and inventory through the next six months and will be used to process purchase orders and payments for road maintenance and projects.
