The Pittsburg County Board of County Commissioners voted June 22 to extend the Election Board’s office lease with First Realty for 12 months at $1,700 per month.
Ross Selman, chairman of the board, told commissioners the agreement continues the Election Board’s current tenancy under the same terms. Selman moved to approve the extension; Mike Haynes seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The signed lease extension specifies the new term begins June 1, 2026, and runs through June 30, 2027, with rent due on the first of each month. The contract language retains the existing terms and conditions of the prior lease, as modified only by the new term and monthly rent.
The board took the vote during its regular meeting in the County Commissioners Conference Room. The commission did not identify any changes to the facility or added costs beyond the monthly rent.
The lease will appear on the county’s records and claims for payment as part of the FY 2026–2027 operating budget for the Election Board.
