Exeter Council Appoints Members to Measure P Oversight Committee, Allows Chair to Finish Term

The Exeter City Council directed that Chair William Stimpel may serve the remainder of his term and unanimously appointed Lulu Belk and Denno Daly to fill two vacancies on the Measure P Oversight Committee, following a staff report from the City Clerk.
On May 12 the Exeter City Council filled vacancies on the Measure P Oversight Committee and provided direction on membership eligibility. Francesca Quintana, City Clerk and Human Resources Manager, reported on the vacancies and eligibility criteria. The Council agreed to allow Chair William Stimpel to serve the remainder of his term and voted 5-0 to appoint Lulu Belk and Denno Daly to the two open positions.
Mayor Pro Tem Jeff Wilson made the nomination to appoint Lulu Belk and Denno Daly. The Council’s motion carried without opposition. No public comments were presented during the item.
The appointments will populate the committee that provides oversight of Measure P expenditures and compliance; the meeting record does not include the committee bylaws or the length of the newly appointed members’ terms. Staff was directed to implement the appointments per Council instruction.
