EXETER, Calif. — The Exeter City Council voted unanimously on May 26 to continue the city's participation in the Tulare County Economic Development Corporation and authorized payment of dues totaling $10,000 covering the current and next fiscal years.
Michael Washam, Associate Director of the Tulare County Resource Management Agency, presented a report to the council on the county economic development organization and its services. After the presentation the mayor opened the item for public comment; no members of the public spoke.
Council direction was to continue participation in TCEDC and to pay dues for the current fiscal year (2025-26) and the next fiscal year (2026-27) for a combined total of $10,000. Mayor Jacob Johnson moved to approve the recommendation; Mayor Pro Tem Jeff Wilson seconded. The motion passed 5-0.
Council did not attach additional conditions or staff directives beyond authorization to pay the dues. The approval keeps Exeter connected to county-level economic development programs and outreach.
