Scottsboro City board approves agenda, accepts nurse resignation and hires replacement

The Scottsboro City board met in a called session Aug. 15 and unanimously approved the meeting agenda before taking personnel actions, approving a Resolution Agreement and adjourning.
Superintendent Amy Childress recommended the Personnel agenda, which included the resignation of Shayla Rodgers as school nurse at Caldwell Elementary School, effective Aug. 9, 2024, and the employment of Autumn Holt as school nurse at Caldwell Elementary School, effective Aug. 19, 2024. The personnel package was moved by Board member Patrick Woosley and seconded by Board member Cheyenne Bennett; the motion was recorded as unanimously approved.
The board then approved a Resolution Agreement described in the meeting materials after a motion by Board member Patrick Woosley and a second from Dr. Gary Speers. That motion also carried unanimously.
Dr. Gary Speers moved to adjourn the meeting; the motion was seconded by Mr. Patrick Woosley and approved unanimously. Mr. Jason Williams, the Board Vice President, was listed as absent in the meeting attendance.
Votes noted in the minutes were recorded as unanimous; the minutes list voting members as Mr. Lee Benson (Board President), Mrs. Cheyenne Bennett (Board Member), Dr. Gary Speers (Board Member) and Mr. Patrick Woosley (Board Member).
