The Oneida County Planning & Development Committee voted June 10 to forward Rezone Petition #01-2026, a request from Joshua and Jacy Przekurat to rezone a parcel in the Town of Schoepke from District #11 (Shoreland-Wetland) to District #02 (Single-Family Residential).
Karl Jennrich, Planning & Zoning director, read correspondence from the Town of Schoepke and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) into the record; the DNR provided findings of fact addressing driveway and structure impacts. Bob Mott spoke during the public hearing. The committee discussed concerns raised in public comment and with staff and the property owners, and then approved forwarding the petition to the County Board for consideration on a motion by Billy Fried, second by Bob Almekinder. With all members present voting Aye, the motion carried.
Next steps: the County Board will consider the rezone petition at a future meeting; any final change of zoning would be effective only after County Board action and any required administrative steps are completed.
