The Ansonia Board of Education on Feb. 19 took a series of routine actions, approving meeting minutes, the 2025–26 school calendar, a certified hire and administrative signature changes, and accepting superintendent recommendations on expulsions after an executive session.
The board voted to accept the organizational and special meeting minutes dated Jan. 15, 2025. The motion carried 5-0-0.
The board approved the Ansonia Public Schools 2025–2026 school calendar by a 5-0-0 vote.
Administrators presented a certified appointment for Erin Murphy as an eighth-grade math teacher at Ansonia Middle School. Superintendent DiBacco said he interviewed Murphy and "is confident she will be a great addition to the Middle School." The board approved the appointment 5-0-0.
The board approved changes to the Child Nutrition Program Authorization Signatures Change Form (Ed‑009) by a 5-0-0 vote.
Later in the meeting, the board moved into an executive session to discuss expulsions. After returning to open session, members voted 6-0-0 to accept the superintendent’s recommendations regarding expulsions. The board adjourned at approximately 8:05 p.m. following a 6-0-0 vote to adjourn.
