During the April 15 meeting the Planning Committee reviewed portions of the Village's 1998 building ordinances, conducting an extensive discussion focused on materials and related provisions spanning pages 1 through 23. Committee members compiled a potential list of changes and agreed to continue the review at the next meeting.
Committee members did not adopt formal ordinance amendments at this session; the discussion was preparatory, aimed at identifying items that need redrafting or further staff research. The committee recorded the topics to be addressed and scheduled follow-up consideration for the May 6 meeting at Jerome Township Hall.
Because no official ordinance language was adopted and no vote on amendments occurred, the discussion remains at the review and drafting stage. Any specific amendments, legal citations, or effective dates will need to be drafted and formally introduced in a subsequent meeting.
