The board previously amended a set of minutes to record an earlier motion to table further consideration of the ordinance’s second reading; the amendment to the May 26, 2026 minutes was approved during the June 16 meeting. The ordinance as passed repeals the prior county zoning ordinance and adopts new maps and all associated amendments under Ordinance 2026-01.
A motion "to pass the Calhoun County Zoning Ordinance 2026-01 and new zoning maps repealing the previous Calhoun County zoning ordinance including maps and all of the amendments thereto" was moved by Cory Ridgely and seconded by Dave George; the board voted unanimously to approve the ordinance. Earlier, a motion by Dave George, seconded by Cory Ridgely, passed the third reading of the proposed ordinance.
